FIA Formula 1 / MotoGP / DTM
The world of motorsport was always inspiring topic for many visitors. Every year, more than 100.000 visitors are being attracted to wonderful scenery of Red Bull Ring in Austria to experience the big names pushing the limits of physics during the Formula 1, MotoGP or DTM races. Our cooperation with the Red Bull Ring started as part of the traffic management to solve the questions of highway traffic around the circuit and help the organization team to accommodate all the visitors and their cars as quickly as possible, while avoiding traffic jams. For the task, we applied our DoubleScout installation, when we could benefit from installation flexibility of the Scout line while keeping the equivalent screen real-estate of the biggest One. Moreover, every screen could be controlled separately, which is also added flexibility on hand. The organization of such events follows the highest standards; hence we extended our cooperation with the Ring to secure infield zone as well. We took care of the circuit navigation and area marking, to increase the comfort and safety of visitors and forwarded them to the right directions at the right time, not only at the highways, but also on the way to their seats.
FIS Nordic Ski World Championship in Lahti
The 12-day event was a celebration of team spirit and racing fight on track in the tough Finnish conditions. With the overall attendance of more than 200.000 fans, highly professional approach to crowd management was needed. The security & safety managers had 8 Scouts on hand in the infield to enhance safety, guide the visitors through the venue, and ensure everyone is warned well in advance in case of emergency. Moreover, the screens informed about restricted areas, and communicated organizational messages clearly during the peak times.
Košice International Peace Marathon
The City of Kosice, the European Capital of Culture for 2013 is also the host city of The International Peace Marathon, the oldest marathon in Europe and the second-oldest in the world. The first course was held already in 1924 and since then the event has evolved into well-known runners gathering. Our partnership started in 2017 and involved city navigation all the way to the starting line of the run. With the screens strategically located in the historic city center of Košice, it is not just helpful cooperation, but also very pleasing experience to be part of the event.
Red Bull Air Race
Twisting the plane on the sky is a dream of almost every young man. There is no doubt Red Bull Air Race is gaining interest and attracts thousands of visitors around the globe. This time, we were also invited to be part of the show, especially the visitors incoming highway show. With our 15 screens strategically located at the highway exits, we were able to navigate visitors flexibly throughout the weekend and the traffic managers had full control over the car flows to the venue. Considering the task, need for the screens at particular spots, and overall installation diversity, we decided to utilize our DoubleScout setup, combined with the Ones on some of the exits.
VIENNA CITY MARATHON
One million spectators, 42.000 runners from 130 nations and a finish line in front of Burgteather. Many challenges have to be overcome to successfully organize the event of such size. To ensure smooth flow of runners, as well as to provide the spectators with up-to-date information about the restrictions, solid information tools are necessary. We were here to keep the information in the corridors clear, simple and impactful. Spectators and Viennese residents were informed about the closest crossings to the nearest subway stations or temporary one-way streets.
SLOVAKIARING
Professional Slovak racing circuit hosting spectacular FIA races such WTCC or GT Series. During these events, more than 40.000 attendees approach the circuit including more than 10.000 cars being parked in a very short time frame. This has created a massive challenge for the organizers, hence traffic jams would complicate the whole procedure. Therefore, Slovakiaring has utilized our LEDs to inform the incomers immediately at the entrance about the parking sectors, making the initial split and updating them about available parking spots. The solution helped to improve parking efficiency and shorten parking times. Moreover, the management had immediate real-time information about the situation via our built-in webcams in the control room.
VIENNA BUSINESS RUN
30.000 runners from almost 1200 companies meet every year at a highly prestigious running event in the heart of Vienna. The history dates to the first edition in 2001, and the Vienna Business Run has since grown into a massive sports and cultural event. Our smart displays were installed to welcome runners at the event, help them to find their way towards the starting blocks, and informed them about currently starting numbers. They also served as a security tool, since emergency scenarios were planned and prepared in case of unpredictable situation. In such cases, all the displays would have gone into warning mode within seconds. Thankfully, the event went smoothly and all the runners enjoyed a well-prepared organization, fun and shared their team spirit.
TRIATHLON PODERSDORF
With more than 2000 competitors, the Austria Triathlon is within the top three events in Austria. The triathlon is situated around the magnificent Neusiedler lake in Lower Austria, with the base in the city of Podersdorf. As the place requires some major modifications for the purpose of the event, our displays were employed in multiple setups, for example such as “strong curve / slow down” warning signs to prevent the bikers from speeding into tricky passages; notifying racers about track changes, highlighting penalty box areas, or directing to parking spots. They also helped pass by to find the quickest route towards the start/finish place. The positions were modified accordingly and the whole setup was very adaptable to stay relevant for the disciplines. All planned, but still highly flexible.
We achieve this by designing, developing and manufacturing the smart screens, further supported by providing full command and control service before, during and after the event right on the spot.
